A Welcome from the Acting Principal

Dr Sergio Fabris (July 2021 – Present)

Welcome

Mannix College is a co-educational, inclusive Catholic university residential college of nearly 300 residents who come from Australia and around the world. All are undertaking full-time undergraduate studies at Monash University, one of Australia’s leading universities and a member of The Group of Eight.

Studying at university as a young adult can be a transformative and challenging experience both academically and personally. As a welcoming and supportive community offering pastoral care, academic assistance and spiritual support, Mannix can help you to engage fully with University life.

Through a wide range of student organised social, sporting and cultural activities, community life at Mannix also offers fun, variety, excitement and enrichment. At a practical level, you also receive serviced accommodation and tasty meals with catering options to suit most dietary requirements. You will also have access to an onsite gym.

Our goal at Mannix is not only to support and enable all our residents to achieve their potential academically but also to help each person grow as an individual and as an engaged and active College member and a global citizen.

Best wishes with your future studies and we hope you will consider being a part of our College community.

Dr Sergio Fabris
A/g Principal, 2021

A note on COVID-19

COVID has impacted on us all. Mannix College abides by all the declared government regulations and updates its community on a regular basis.

In order to keep residents safe, Mannix College last year closed its doors and reimbursed students’ fees. This year we are all dealing with lockdowns, students coming from ‘red’ and ‘orange’ zones and Tier 1 & 2 exposure sites.

We are fortunate to have a limited number of self-contained rooms at College, where students can isolate if necessary.

Be assured that the primary care of our residents is always uppermost in our minds.
